In 2026 JIBC will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the launch of the certificate in conflict resolution, which laid the groundwork for the establishment of the Centre for Conflict Resolution.
CCR staff meet individuals from across BC who have taken a con res course or program almost every week. They often tell of how the course or program had a significant impact on their professional and personal lives. And since the program has been running since 1986, the number of “alumni” is significant.
Our plans are simple:
- hold a (virtual) gathering/networking event for past and present faculty members to reconnect and share their perspectives on their relationship with the Centre over its 40-year tenure.
- Hold a (virtual) gathering/networking event for past and present students to connect and rekindle their connection with the Centre on its 40-year anniversary.
- Capture a broad cross-section of posts and photos of how the program impacted faculty and students’ personal and professional lives (hosted on this site).
- Record particularly impactful stories from both faculty and students (filmed interview).
